Agata Śmiechowska-Więczkowska – Secretary of the Supervisory Board

Agata Śmiechowska-Więczkowska is a lawyer and economist. She graduated from the University of Łódź, the Faculty of Law and Administration, as well as completed doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, the Faculty of Economy. She earned an Executive Master of Business Administration degree at the Kozminski University in Warsaw.

Since 1999, she has been associated with the ORLEN Capital Group, initially with the Investor Relations Department as a Lawyer, Expert and IPO Coordinator, then with the Corporate Supervision Department as a Lawyer, Manager of core and non-core business companies and Project Manager. She has gained professional practice in Investors Relation Department and ADR/GDR Division in The Bank of New York in New York City. 

She has gained extensive experience in many acquisition and divestment projects carried out on both Polish and foreign markets, including takeover, merger, restructuring and consolidation processes.

From 2008 to 2018, she was a proxy of Płocki Park Przemyłowo-Technologiczny S.A., which manages the investment area of the industrial and technological park located in Płock, and a member of the Supervisory Boards of ORLEN Group companies: ORLEN Projekt S.A., ORLEN Gaz Sp. z o.o., ORLEN KolTrans S.A., IKS “Solino” S.A., ORLEN Oil Sp. z o.o., ORLEN Eko Sp. z o.o.,  PPPT S.A. (Plock industrial and technological park) and Education Center Sp. z o.o.

Currently she works as a Manager at the Office of ORLEN Capital Group where she is responsible for ownership supervision over the companies of the capital group, including those operating on foreign markets such as Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, supervises the ORLEN Unipetrol A.S. Capital Group. She is a member of the Supervisory Board of ORLEN Deutschland GmbH and since 10 February 2024 she has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ORLEN Synthos Green Energy sp. z o.o., which is implementing a project to build a fleet of Small Modular Reactors (SMR) nuclear power plants in Poland.
