ORLEN Deutschland GmbH signs cooperation agreement with May & Co. Holding to expand their charging infrastructure

05-03-2025

ORLEN Deutschland GmbH with its electromobility brand ORLEN CHARGE signs a cooperation agreement with the real estate and investment specialist May & Co. Holding, to set up over 200 fast-charging points at least 30 locations across Germany by the end of 2026.

The aim of this cooperation agreement is to further expand the charging infrastructure in Germany at strategically important locations such as retail parks and large food retailers, including Rewe, EDEKA and Aldi. It is also intended to make a significant contribution to promoting electromobility and reducing CO2 emissions. Over the next two years, the e-mobility offering is to be expanded by around 30 locations under the ORLEN CHARGE brand through the installation of high-power chargers (between 150 and 400 kW). As part of the agreement, ORLEN Deutschland has also secured an exclusive right to utilise or develop further locations.

“The cooperation marks a decisive step for our partner programme and our positioning in the German market in central and preferred locations in the field of electromobility. With May & Co., we have gained a reliable partner with whom we can continue to realise further e-mobility projects in the future,” says Dennis Kulbach, Managing Director of ORLEN Deutschland GmbH.

“The partnership with ORLEN Deutschland GmbH opens new opportunities for us as a location provider to offer our own tenants and their customers further forward-looking added value on site. At the same time, the joint commitment emphasises the promotion of a sustainable future,” says Jens-Henrik Gerdes, Managing Director of May & Co. Development GmbH.

ORLEN Deutschland is planning the strategic expansion of a Germany-wide e-mobility network with fast-charging stations under the ORLEN CHARGE brand. The network currently has around 60 charging points, with the aim of expanding to more than 200 charging points by the end of this year.
ORLEN Deutschland is also building its first e-charging park in Elmshorn, near Hamburg, with 16 high-power charging points with an output of up to 400 kW. Completion of this facility is planned for the end of 2025. ORLEN also intends to introduce charging stations in Poland, where 13 new locations are to be built by the end of this year.
